Source and Accuracy Policy

PursuitSignal is designed to make procurement research easier to inspect, challenge, and update.

Source priority

Official government records are preferred for opportunity status, identifiers, dates, eligibility language, and attachments. Other public sources may provide context but do not silently replace an authoritative record.

Provenance

Each customer-facing signal should identify its source, retrieval date, and relevant record identifier. Source snapshots or change records are preserved when technically and legally practical.

Facts and inference

Verified facts are separated from analyst inference. Inferences include their basis, confidence, and the information that could confirm or reject them.

Missing and conflicting information

Missing evidence lowers confidence. Conflicts are shown rather than averaged away. Expired, withdrawn, inaccessible, or materially changed records are flagged for review.

Scoring

Fit scores support prioritization and do not predict awards. Scores depend on the customer profile, source quality, timing, eligibility, exclusions, and documented capability matches.

Corrections

Material errors should be corrected with a visible update to the affected record. PursuitSignal does not erase uncertainty simply because a cleaner answer would be easier to sell.
